The Global Network Map is a Flash application that enables the placement of a richly customized interactive map into any website. Designed for personal modification, this unique map presents your data and images within a navigable global interface. The map is highly customizable, configurable, and easily integrates within any website.  

The map can be populated with custom placemarkers, from as many as just a few to hundreds.  You can designate marker types, which can then be toggled on or off in the interactive map legend. Connection lines can also be made between any placemarkers to represent networks.  Geographical coordinates in latitude and longitude determine location of placemarkers on the map.

The map includes optional user interface controls for managing a custom legend, a menu list of placemarkers, geo-political borders, connection lines, zooming, and an information window.

The map can be zoomed in or out in three ways: by selecting a continental area in the zoom menu, by adjusting a zoom scroll bar, and by double-clicking on any location on the map itself.

All custom data and control configurations are handled with easily-to-edit XML files.
